An exciting update to your Nexamp experience

As part of our ongoing efforts to make saving with Nexamp even simpler, we’re updating your billing experience. Starting soon, you’ll no longer receive a separate invoice from Nexamp for your community solar credits. Instead, both the credits and your discounted Nexamp charges will be listed directly on your utility bill.

Here's what's happening next

  • You pay your final Nexamp invoices
    Over the next few months, you’ll pay for any unbilled solar credits you’ve already received on your utility bill. During this time, your new community solar charges will move directly to your utility bill—making it easier to track your savings and manage your energy costs in one place.
  • You’ll see a new line item on your utility bill
    The community solar credits you generate will appear on your utility bill as a negative line item as usual. There will also be an additional line showing your charges for those credits.
  • Your savings continue

    You’ll still save on electricity costs because Nexamp provides a discount on the credits you generate. That discount is not changing as part of this update.
  • Our promise
    You will still save the same amount on your annual electricity costs, even though your utility bill may appear higher due to this change. You will always pay less overall with Nexamp.

What to expect during the transition

You’ll notice an overlap in billing for a short period. Here’s why:

  • Nexamp bills in arrears, meaning we invoice you after solar credits are applied to your utility bill.
  • Because of this, you will still receive a few more Nexamp invoices for credits you’ve already received, while simultaneously seeing your current credits appear on your utility bill.
  • Once you pay your final Nexamp invoices, all future charges will appear only on your utility bill—no more direct billing from us!
