Summit Farm Solar in New Braintree sits on previously cleared land just across from the Town Hall, generating 2.6 Megawatts of renewable solar energy from 4,416 modules mounted to a tracker system. Feeding energy to the National Grid grid, this community solar farm offsets the energy needs of roughly 400 average households and makes it possible for subscribers to reduce their annual electric expenses. This is one of Nexamp’s first projects to feature a self-build approach, where Nexamp worked directly with the utility to construct the infrastructure needed for interconnection.
