Southwest of Chicago, in the town of Lostant, Solitude Solar II is a 3 MW solar farm that offers community solar savings to area residents who get their electricity from ComEd. It features more than 5,600 solar modules mounted to an advanced tracking system that captures maximum energy from the sun by following its trajectory throughout the day. This project is capable of offsetting the power needs of approximately 500 average homes and makes the benefits of solar available to everyone.
