Short Sands Solar, located just north of the downtown area of Kansas, IL, generates approximately 3.1 MW of renewable energy from its more than 5,000 bifacial solar modules attached to a tracker mounting system. The 17-acre site sends power to the grid and serves customers in the Ameren utility territory, enabling them to save on their annual electric costs with no enrollment fees and no equipment to install on their homes.
