Located in Palmer, MA, Palmer Breckenridge Solar + Storage sits on 28.8 acres of land and consists of 15,714 solar panels which generate 5.7 megawatts of clean energy. Local residents who get their power from National Grid will be able to save money on their electric costs by subscribing to this project through Nexamp Community Solar. The site is also equipped with a 2.5 MW / 5.2 MWh battery energy storage system, which enables the state of Massachusetts to receive renewable generation during times of high electricity demand. The project delivers power through the Massachusetts SMART program, but also participates in the Massachusetts Clean Peak Program, as well as ISO-NE wholesale capacity and ancillary service markets.
