Mattawamkeag Solar produces 3.2 Megawatts of renewable energy for the Versant grid in Maine. With almost 8,000 solar modules mounted to a tracker system for maximum efficiency, this solar farm generates enough energy for about 500 typical residential households and enables community solar subscribers to save up to 15% on their annual electric expenses. It is located in the small town of Mattawamkeag, where the Mattawamkeag River joins the Penobscot River in the north central area of the state.
