As we commemorate Women's History Month, a time dedicated to reflecting on the vast contributions of women across all spheres of society, I find myself pondering the tapestry of experiences that define my own path in the renewable energy sector. In my fifteen-year journey with clean energy, I've been fortunate to explore the breadth of this vibrant industry, from the intricacies of wind and solar to the practicalities of energy storage systems. My career began almost serendipitously but evolved into a deeply fulfilling mission to make a tangible impact on the world through clean energy initiatives. This journey with Nexamp has allowed me to engage with various technologies, although our focus is firmly on solar power's vast potential.

My journey into Renewable Energy was kindled by a deeply personal aspiration to keep my family united. In 2008, my husband embarked on a venture to construct a 67-mile transmission line in California. My background in Electrical Engineering not only facilitated my involvement in the project but also marked the inception of my career in this vibrant sector. I have navigated through an array of roles through the last decade and a half —from Project Administration and Logistics to higher-level positions such as Site Superintendent, Construction Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Manager. I’ve overseen the construction of Utility Scale projects for the western third of the country and eventually spearheaded Nexamp’s construction across the United States in the Community Solar and C&I space.

Each role served as a foundational pillar for the subsequent one, fostering a culture of learning and growth. I embraced every challenge and opportunity with enthusiasm, driven by a philosophy of proactive opportunity creation—identifying needs and endeavoring to fulfill them. As Vice President of Deployment, I am committed to fostering a culture of opportunity, ensuring each team member can thrive and contribute to our collective success. We believe in mentorship, sharing knowledge, and lifting each other as we climb. With that in mind, the remarkable women on my team have come together to share their stories.

These individual stories, shared with honesty and courage, remind us that growth often sprouts from a diversity of challenges and perspectives. They remind us that the road to a clean energy future is built on the bedrock of collective wisdom and individual tenacity.

In my own fifteen years in clean energy, mentors have played a pivotal role, offering guidance gleaned from both successes and setbacks. I've come to realize the importance of timing and context in applying their lessons. What worked yesterday may not hold true today, and the wisdom of one may not necessarily fit the circumstances of another. As a mentor myself, it is a privilege to pass on this understanding, fostering a culture where learning is as dynamic as the industry we navigate. It's about being a sounding board, a catalyst for others to discover their own solutions within the unique fabric of their professional experiences.

Above all, it’s an honor to act as a mentor and to witness the blossoming of potential into achievement. As I offer guidance to the bright minds around me, I am continually inspired by their resilience and innovation. Together, our shared experiences not only propel Nexamp forward but also contribute to the broader narrative of empowerment and progress in clean energy. This Women’s History Month, let’s celebrate not just the progress we’ve made but also recommit ourselves to the inclusive ethos that defines Nexamp. We are here not just to lead but to uplift, ensuring that every stride we take is a step toward a more sustainable and equitable world.
